Apply for Cyber G.IRL 2024
Applications are now open for our coding cohort “Cyber G.IRL.”
This 9-week program teaches young people to make a digital magazine from start to finish, including coding, graphic design, and journalism, all done by the group members.
We are partnering with The Hidden Genius Project to learn coding, Hunnibuzz to learn graphic design and art direction, and OurWatts Bookshop to create articles, poems, and stories for the digital magazine.
Grants cover this experience cost, so you only have to worry about showing up and staying committed.
All meals, materials, and transportation will be free to youth.
This opportunity is open to YOUTH and TEENS, ages 12-18. All girls and gender-nonconforming youth from Compton, Watts, Willowbrook, and surrounding hoods are invited to apply. There will be a 5-minute interview portion.
