They’ve done it!

The g.irls have wrapped up their digital magazine, which is available for the world to see.

Our G.IRLS had to:

Code the project using CSS with mentors from The Hidden Genius Project
Design the website utilizing tools such as Figma, CANVA, and artistic vision with the Graphic Design team at Hunnibuzz
Write all of their articles. So research, edit, and fact-check all of their pieces with the guidance of OurWatts Bookshop

The teams dedicated 8 weeks and 8 weekends! of their time to creating this beautiful youth-led and created digital magazine. We are so proud of their dedication to learning about new careers, connecting with other girls, and learning new skills.

As a bonus, each girl was gifted a brand new MAC laptop that they used for the entire cohort, closing the tech gap in Compton even more.

We organized a wrap party in Little Tokyo to celebrate their hard work for exploration, dining, and shopping!
